Where Badgers are born...
Our open session training for players from ages 4-13 takes place on Friday Evenings. This is where we find our talented young players, and anyone aspiring to become a Young Badger, should come along and have some fun getting to know our players and coaches. As a club we don't do "trials" for young players, why would we want to put them through the sense of rejection that comes from not getting a place after getting their hopes up for a few weeks of training? Instead we watch them whilst they're having fun playing football with their friends on a Friday. If we see a player we like that shows promise, and a space is available on a team, then we will speak to their parent and ask if they'd like to come along to team training and go from there.
Current Location and Times
Location: Oaklands Playing Fields, Caledonian Road, Retford, DN22 7EQ
Times: 18:00-19:00 for Foundation through to School Year 4, and our all ages Goalkeeper Training.
19:00-20:00 for School years 5 to 8

How do I join and pay?
To sign up for Friday Night Football, click on the "Join FNF" link at the top of this page and fill in the registration form.
Once joined, we will add your child to the right age group and setup a Spond account for you. Please download the Spond app onto your phone as this is where you will book a place each week and pay for the session.
After you're registered and setup on Spond, you will receive a notification once per week to book your child's place for Friday Night Football. Places are 1st come 1st served, more places will be opened up if extra coached become available. But we cannot guarantee this, as our Coaches are volunteers and cannot always give up their Friday evenings.
When you choose to book a space, you will be asked to pay using card, Google Pay or Apple Pay. Sessions are currently £3.50 per child per week.
What if I can't make it?
If you've booked and paid for a space, but for whatever reason you can't make it and wish to cancel. Please notify us as soon as possible so that we can make the space available for another child.
Refunds will be issued as follows dependent on how much notice we have of the cancellation, as we need to have ample time to re-sell the space to avoid us making a loss on the cost of pitch rental. We do not profit from Friday Night Football, every penny goes towards the running costs of the club:
48 hours or more - Full refund
24-48 hours - 50% refund
Less than 24 hours - Not eligible for a refund
What should I bring?
All players regardless of age must wear shin pads for training or they will be asked to go home.
All players must have something to drink.
Football boots are not essential, but if you wish to wear them they must be plastic moulded studs, strictly no metal studs.
